Jim Tretow - Host/Executive Producer
Veteran motorsports broadcaster Jim Tretow brings enthusiasm and experience to THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW as the show's main host and executive producer.
He grew up in a racing family and began his behind-the-microphone career in 1985 at Badger Raceway in Dousman, Wis. His passion for all forms of motorsports has taken him to events throughout North America.
Every Monday night on THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW, he keeps the race fan's interest at heart. As a student of the sport, Jim enjoys providing a forum for local racers and unique personalities in motorsports. He has a curious yet relaxed approach with show guests.
With the opportunity provided by THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW as a reporter beginning in 1987, Tretow has gained an inside knowledge of the sport through research and press access to local and major motorsports events. His personal relationship with many area racers and drivers and crew members that have progressed to the highest levels of motorsports keep the show entertaining and insightful.
Since 1996, Tretow has worked as a television commentator in motorsports as a color analyst, play-by-play host and pit reporter for events airing on TNN, Outdoor Channel, HD Net, and now SPEED TV for select NASCAR and all televised ARCA Racing Series events. Since 1999, he has worked as trackside and booth public address announcer at major events at Phoenix Int'l Raceway and Daytona Int'l Speedway. in addition to a variety of local events.
Tretow's summer tradition is playing organized sand volleyball with his wife, chasing his two kids around, and of course, getting to as many short track events as possible - whether to announce at the races or report on them for THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW.
Dave Schmalzer - Broadcast Engineer
As the main broadcast engineer for THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW for well over 20 years, his involvement is integral to the show's quality sound and production. Since Terry and Joyce Jeffords relied on his expertise at Springdale Inn broadcasts of THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW, Schmalzer has been at the controls.
His knowledge and ability has enabled THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW to broadcast from tracks, retail stores and multiple remote locations for years. His keen sense of sound and hard work ethic have given each show broadcast that extra edge.
A die-hard Richard Petty fan, as evident by his massive #43 collection, Dave makes the annual trek to Michigan International Speedway and other tracks to report on NASCAR action.
When not busy with all the production elements of THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW, he enjoys working with computers and the latest electronic media.
One of the founding members of "Table One", he transitioned from a regular audience member to active participant in the production of THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW.
His enthusiastic approach is infectious. From equipment management to helping with show guests, he has made THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW more cohesive and enjoyable for the staff and the racing crowd, at the show and at the track.
Tretow's younger brother Jim shines brighter in the spotlight on the show because of all of his efforts behind the scenes with our valued advertisers, show guests and remote broadcast locations.
When it comes to attending and covering racing – from Slinger and Beaver Dam to the Knoxville Nationals and the Chili Bowl - Joe likes it all!
When not chasing racing or making THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW tick, he enjoys attending concerts and skillfully playing a variety of musical instruments.
Dave Hohensee - On-air Staff/Reporter
Our Drag Racing Report insider is a racer who shares his passion at the track and every Monday night on THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW.
With decades of experience behind the wheel of his Fat Boys Racing 1968 Camaro, he has the pulse of NHRA, IHRA, and all things straightline in the area.
He's not afraid to share his opinion on the day's motosports headlines, and on occasion, his associate Peppe' has been known to make guest appearances on THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW.
From his insightful interviews to the inside scoop on the world of drag racing, Dave keeps the racing crowd up to speed without redlining.
Jeff Wesell - On-air Staff/Reporter
Our Open Wheel Report insider has been with THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW since 1996. Each week, Jeff covers local and national sprint car, midgets, karts and more. His fun-loving and youthful approach makes each segment unique.
He is a racer with over 20 years of experience in karts, mini sprints, legends and sprint cars. He's come full-circle, returning to competitive karting at Badger Raceway with his son Parker, and races in national events at Daytona Int'l Speedway and Road America.
When time allows, Wesell shares his passion as a track as an announcer for the IRA Outlaw Sprint Car Series, and travels the country representing Hepfner Racing Products.
Away from the track, he tunes his karts, enjoys playing drums and guitar, playing video games and listening to music. He also can be found having a good time pretty much anywhere.

Greg Lepine - Sales/Producer/Reporter
When you want something done for THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW, you only have to ask him once. Lepine is a go-to guy on many levels for the show.
His role has expanded from helping out with the physical needs of each show, to lining up numerous show guests to working into a key position of building relationships with our valued advertisers and supporters.
He reports on the action, does live commercial reads and keeps the show rolling every Monday night, right on through the after-show giveaways.
His passion is midget cars and open wheel racing, while he takes in a variety of motorsports series at multiple venues throughout the country. Outgoing by nature, his quick smile and can-do approach has infused THE RACING ROUND UP SHOW with energy, a number of new guests and audience participants.
John Puestow - Sales/On-air Staff
John is as easily at home racing powerboats and competing in downhill ski racing as he is making friends in the Road America paddock! He loves all forms of motorsports and adds his passion to our show as his schedule allows.
